Neuro Trauma is a head or spinal injury caused by a sudden injury.
The following are a few examples of Head and Spinal Traumas:
- Concussion
- TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury)
- Penetrating brain injury
- Skull fracture
- Haemorrhage
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Chance Fracture
- Hyperflexion Injury
- Burst Fracture
- Traumatic Central Cord Syndrome
Most Neurological examinations include a scoring system known as the Glasgow Coma Scale which determines the severity of the brain/spinal injury which will be carried out in a hospital setting.
Neuro Case Management provide Case Management Services to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of clients who have experienced Neuro Trauma. NCMUK can assist in the Client returning to the home environment or in finding a suitable care establishment to meet the Client’s needs. The family will be supported and if the Client is returning home, an Initial Needs Assessment will be completed to determine the requirements of the property prior to their arrival. NCMUK will also interview, employ and fully train any Carers required to ensure a high standard is maintained.
