Quadriplegia is described as paralysis from the neck down, including the trunk, legs and arms. The condition is generally caused by an injury to the spinal cord. The loss is usually both sensory and motor which means that both sensation and control are lost.
Loss or impairment can also be experienced in controlling bowel and bladder, sexual function, digestion, breathing and other autonomic functions.
Generally, the Client in this case will still have the mental capacity to make their own decisions. Neuro Case Management can, however, if required, carry out a Mental Capacity Assessment to determine that this is the case and then work towards ensuring that the needs of the Client are met overall.
NCMUK can organise Carers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists etc to provide the level of assistance that the Client requires to meet their needs.
NCMUK not only offer Case Management services but we also support the Client by providing a full payroll structure for any Carer employed including Payment, Pension, Training, Supervision and DBS Checks.
